About Jay Calvert, founder of Cyber-Smart.ca

Jay Calvert is a Cybersecurity Specialist who is currently employed helping protect the backbone of Canada’s Credit Unions. He has over 25 years experience in Information Technology. Jay started Cyber-Smart.ca to help his local community on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.
He cares deeply for his community and wanted to do something about the people who were targets of scammers that he read about weekly online. Cybersecurity can be easy and can be for everybody.
Personal Statement
I would love to take this all across Canada as there is a serious need for a way to convey complex cybersecurity news and information in a simple, clear cut, easy to follow format for those that might not be technically inclined. I kept thinking how hard it must be to try and do the research needed to keep one safe when all you are faced with is technobabble and in most case not a clear enough answer to actually help protect those in need of the information.
Please reach out to us, we would love to hear from you
